Buffalo hotel sold at auction, asbestos removal to begin soon

Statler Towers in Buffalo, Recent York was sold at auction for $1.3 million. A local group – including a real estate consultant, a mortgage broker as well as the owner of a catering business – outbid the single other bidder for the hotel property. Bill Koessler, who owns Park Lane Catering, already operates his business in the ballrooms as well as other first-floor spaces of the hotel. His group intends to total a remodeling project in the building’s 235 hotel rooms, 111 apartments, two restaurants, a jazz club, a coffee shop as well as retail space. Asbestos removal will begin at Statler Towers as beginning as September.
