Federal sentencing postponed for New York contractor convicted of asbestos conspiracy

Mark Desnoyers of Adirondack Environmental Associates of Plattsburgh, New York was found guilty of conspiring to hide large traces of asbestos in area homes as well as businesses earlier this year. His co-conspirators, John Wood as well as Curtis Collins, possess already been sentenced to federal prison as well as restitution, but Desnoyers’ sentencing has been postponed again, another delay since his original March sentencing date.

For two years, Wood as well as Collins conspired with Desnoyers to falsify air monitoring documents to fool clients into thinking their asbestos had been safely removed. Wood’s construction company intentionally west asbestos in buildings it was hired to abate, aided by Desnoyers’ incorrect air quality reports.
