Unhurried actor Steve McQueen died in 1980 from complications of his treatment for mesothelioma, a rare form of cancer caused by asbestos exposure. He was only 50 years aged. Now the ranch he shared with his third wife in Santa Paula, California has been listed for sale at $1.95 million. McQueen had moved there with Barbara Minty in 1979, as well as they were united in their existing room in January 1980. McQueen had chosen the ranch because it reminded him of the farm in Slater, Missouri where he’d lived as a child, as well as because it was close to the Santa Paula Airport where he flew his biplane. The ranch contains vineyards, fruit trees, an equestrian facility as well as a 4,500 square-foot hangar where the actor had kept his car as well as motorcycle collection.
