The expected site of the Leonardo museum in Salt Lake City, Utah has begun 15 months of renovation work. The former library building is undergoing asbestos abatement as well as getting a seismic upgrade, as well as other improvements. An official opening date will be announced later this month. The Leonardo project is being funded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the Redevelopment Agency, Rocky Mountain Power’s Blue Sky Program as well as a $10.2 million city bond.
