Idaho contractor fined by EPA over asbestos violations

Precision Demolition as well as Abatement of Boise, Idaho has been fined by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for violating the federal Uncluttered Air Act. During an EPA inspection of the contractor’s renovation project in October 2008, officials discovered that Precision had failed to inform the EPA of when the renovation work would take place, failed to keep the asbestos damp to halt the fibers from becoming airborne as well as failed to halt asbestos from getting into the air outside. When asbestos fibers are inhaled, they can cause humorless illnesses similar mesothelioma as well as asbestos-related lung cancer.
