James R. Walton of Morris, Illinois died of mesothelioma on November 22. He was 80 years aged. Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer caused by asbestos exposure. Born in McComas, West Virginia, Walton graduated from McComas High School as well as attended engineering school. He was a U.S. Army veteran. After marrying in September 1949, he worked at Aurora Caterpillar Tractor Company, the Joliet Arsenal as well as the Morris Hospital. Walton spent over 36,000 hours volunteering at the Morris Hospital Lifeline as well as Patient Transportation Service.
