Massena School District asbestos abatement underway

The Massena School District in New York has been working with KAS Environmental as well as Geological Consulting of Vermont for almost two years to identify as well as create an asbestos abatement plan. Most of the buildings are fine, but there are 75 areas in the high school out of 212 areas originally identified that still need to be addressed. There is no more asbestos in the former bus garage that will become the recent home of the district offices. The consultant is still on the lookout for unforeseen issues similar asbestos that can’t be found until floor tiles are pulled up.
