Littman Cancer Center offers without charge yoga classes to patients

Littman Cancer Center at St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital in New York will be offering without charge yoga classes for cancer patients twice a month. Classes will be held on the lower level of the Cornwall campus in the Center for Material Therapy. Beginning in January, the classes will be held on the earliest as well as third Thursdays of every month at 6:00 pm.

Yoga can be beneficial for cancer patients because it is gentle, therapeutic as well as combines many dissimilar elements of exercise. The gentle exercise as well as breathing techniques can help improve overall material as well as emotional well-being for cancer patients as well as help minimize the side effects of their cancer treatment.
