Joseph L. Washington was fired in beginning December from his position as Northeast Ambulance as well as Fire Protection District fire essential in St. Louis, Missouri. On December 14, Washington pleaded guilty in federal court to violating the federal Uncluttered Air Act. While he served as president of the board for the district, he failed to notify federal regulators before having asbestos removed from the district’s offices.
