The Columbus County Courthouse in North Carolina is a bit outdated. County officials are trying to decide whether the building should be renovated or incase they should build a recent courthouse. The existing building is almost a hundred years aged. It has some structural damage, as well as it would require mold as well as asbestos remediation. There isn’t much room inside the courthouse, which creates a fire safety hazard. Incase the county does decide to build a recent courthouse instead of renovating the aged one, the original building will not be demolished. It has been registered as a historical site, as well as it will remain standing as a landmark. For the filled story, go to WECT. |
