Mesothelioma and Asbestos

Waterbury City Hall in Connecticut has been undergoing a $36 million renovation project. Previously undetected amounts of asbestos added $173,000 to possess the toxic substance removed, as well as mold remediation in the courtyard hall added another $34,000. It cost another $1,500 to remove pigeon droppings that had accumulated over the years. Cost savings in other areas, but, mean that the project should come in $1.5 million under budget. Some of the bids came in so much lower than anticipated that some high-end extras were added to the project, including having elevator cabs made out of bronze instead of stainless steel.
