EPIC Contracting has been hired for just over $1 million to perform the demolition of the Armory building as well as drill hall in Elmira, New York. Work began with asbestos abatement on January 19, with demolition to follow in mid-to-late February. Materials will as well as be salvaged during the demolition process, including architectural stones, bricks as well as the flagpole; these items will be saved for expected projects.
