The Lex Villa Building in Carrollton, Georgia had its asbestos abatement completed by Pyramid Remedial Services on January 12. After that, Carroll County work crews began clearing glass as well as other salvageable materials from the building before demolition could start. Using county workers to perform the demolition helped to keep the costs down. The building had to come down to make way for the Carroll County justice center project. The Courtyard Square Building was demolished final year to make way for the expected justice center’s parking garage. For the filled story, go to Times-Georgian. |
