Old Georgia church coming down for recent senior center

Demolition on the aged Byne Church in Albany, Georgia began on January 20. Some of the buildings coming down were contaminated with asbestos as well as infested with termites. Once the demolition is total, construction can begin on the recent $9 million senior citizen intricate that will be using the aged church’s place.

The Southwest Georgia (SOWEGA) Council on Aging has been looking for a recent senior center for many years, as the current one has a leaky roof as well as does not possess an adequate kitchen for the number of meals they need to serve. The council is planning to move all of their three offices as well as two senior centers into the recent building intricate.
