Mesothelioma is a relatively rare form of cancer that is strongly associated with exposure to asbestos. In some cases, it can be difficult to determine the source of asbestos exposure. Office workers were sometimes exposed to the toxic fibers when their offices were renovated because repairs as well as remodeling can disturb asbestos-containing materials as well as release the fibers into the air. Sometimes, family members were exposed to asbestos inadvertently when it was brought into the house on work clothes. For the filled story, go to Faribault County Register. |
