Idaho charter school holds unfastened house after move

North Valley Academy charter school moved into a recent school building in Gooding, Idaho. The unfastened house was held on February 25. The school building was purchased from the Gooding School District for $685,000. An additional $100,000 was spent preparing the school building for recent students.

Renovations included painting, plumbing as well as electrical updates, mold abatement as well as asbestos removal.

The Academy currently has a K-12 student population of about 250 with 25-40 more students expected in the coming school year.

There has been some community unease in the done, but it appears the academy as well as school district has learned to peacefully coexist. The existence of the academy has helped lower excessive growth within the district schools as well as has curriculum offerings as well as extra-curricular activities not offered in neighboring districts.
