In January, Judge Jeffrey Donnell a district judge, in Albany County, Wyoming granted a motion to dismiss a lawsuit against the University of Wyoming. A former employee of the University of Wyoming, David Morse, who alleged discrimination as well as retaliation, filed a wrongful termination suit. Specific complaints included retaliation for Morse’s reporting of alleged asbestos, filing complaints for alleged exposure to asbestos as well as his participation in related investigations. The judge explained that the District Court has no jurisdiction in this instance. Morse neglected to file a governmental claim as well as his Complaint as well as Jury Demand did not comply with either the WGCA or the Wyoming Constitution. But, while the judge dismissed the case he as well as noted that Morse still has time to file the requisite claims under the Governmental Claims Act. For the filled story, go to Laramie Boomerang. |
