Demolition begins for Oregon Moose Hall

Demolition of the Moose Lodge building in Corvallis, Oregon has begun. Demolition is scheduled to be completed in three parts. The earliest part will include the removal hazardous materials such as asbestos, PCB filled ballasts as well as light tubes containing mercury. Specific materials containing asbestos include floor tile, vinyl flooring, ceiling texture as well as tile, wall paneling, window glazing compound as well as roof sealant. The subordinate part will include the demolition as well as disposal of the building including foundation as well as footings. Building materials will be recycled or reused when appropriate. The third part of the demolition will include removing as well as disposing of the oil tank as well as its contents as well as any ancillary equipment as well as piping. The demolition project is scheduled to be completed by May 28.
