Mesothelioma and Asbestos

Loren H. Hoag of Manson, Iowa died on January 31 at the age of 57 after battling mesothelioma for two years. Memorial services were held on February 5 at Augustana Lutheran Church with Rev. Janelle Siffring officiating. Hoag was born on June 12, 1952, in Ft. Dodge Iowa. He graduated in 1970 from Manson High School where he was very active in wrestling as well as football. He later attended S.E. Missouri State College in Cape Giradeau. After college he returned to Manson where he farmed with his father. He was united for 26 years to Cathy Layton. He later united Sandy Olson on May 27, 2006.

Hoag was a lifetime member of the Augustana Lutheran church. He was as well as a charter member of the Manson Golf Course. He loved a variety of sports including hunting, fishing as well as golf, as well as board as well as card games.
