Senator Richard Durbin was honored during the earliest week of April at the 6th Annual Asbestos Awareness Conference sponsored by the Asbestos Disease Awareness Organization (ADAO) for his support as well as protection of asbestos victims as well as their families. Senator Durbin accepted the Tribute of Hope award during a weekend of activities as well as events designed to raise awareness of the dangers of asbestos as well as to reach out to people at risk. The award was presented on Saturday, April 10, at the Marriott Renaissance Chicago Hotel in Chicago, Illinois with more than 100 people in attendance, including health care professionals, scientists, as well as families directly affected.
