Former Florida work camp to come down

The aged Road as well as Bridge yard work camp building was once used to house inmates as well as later used for storage, but Jackson County, Florida authorities possess decided that it’s time for the building to come down. The building appears to be sound, but County Administrator Ted Lakey expressed the fear that kids may wander into the abandoned structure to play.

An investigation by Southern Earth Sciences Inc., a company that tests environmental as well as construction materials, found both friable as well as non-friable asbestos materials in the aged building. The county is conducting a search for a contractor qualified to safely remove the dangerous asbestos as well as demolish the building following state as well as local asbestos safety regulations.
