CZ Becker, a wood floor restoration company, has been fined $3,600 by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality for improper removal of 100 square feet of asbestos floor tiles final June. Workers used a mechanical sander on the asbestos flooring, which most likely released asbestos fibers into the air. Asbestos fibers are toxic, as the bodily has been proven to cause humorless illnesses similar mesothelioma, lung cancer as well as asbestosis. There is no protected level of asbestos exposure.
