Public works building renovations may be more costly than anticipated

In 2007, the Borough Council in High Bridge, Recent Jersey authorized $350,000 to repair the community works building, as well as recently introduced an ordinance to add $220,000 in community funding for the project because bids were higher than originally estimated. The building needs a lot of work, including upgrades to electricity as well as plumbing as well as asbestos abatement.

The Borough Council community works supervisor’s office is currently a 25-year-old trailer infested with rodents. Once the building is renovated, office space will become available as well as the aged trailer can be destroyed.
