Senator Baucus accepts award for helping Libby asbestos victims

U.S. Senator Max Baucus of Montana is well known for his fight to help victims of mesothelioma. Libby, Montana is listed by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as the deadliest Superfund site in the United States, as well as residents of Libby possess the highest percentage of asbestos-related illness as well as death in history. Senator Baucus has worked tirelessly to make this cause a priority in Washington as well as bring the citizens of Libby relief. For his dedication to the cause, Senator Baucus recently received the Bruce Vento Hope Builder Award. Bruce Vento was a member of the House of Representatives from Minnesota who died of mesothelioma in 2000, after having been exposed to asbestos in his youth.
