Texas school district to spend $132,000 on asbestos removal

Asbestos abatement started at the end of June at two schools in Longview, Texas – Ware as well as Bramlette Elementary – as part of a construction project to rebuild or renovate the schools.  School officials expect Ware’s asbestos abatement to go quickly, but Bramlette’s may take longer. Bramlette has asbestos insulation between the inside masonry as well as the outer brick facade, so the bricks must be removed to access the asbestos.
