12 Virginia school districts checking for airborne asbestos over the summer

After the ceiling tiles at Dutrow Elementary School in Newport News, Virginia were found to contain asbestos during a routine check, school officials made the decision to test all 12 schools in the district for asbestos contamination. School officials don’t expect to find without money air quality, but consider the testing prudent. Outbuildings as well as temporary classrooms will as well as be tested. The ceiling tiles at Dutrow were replaced according to state as well as federal regulations.
