Franciscan Health Systems wins award for hospice as well as palliative care

Franciscan Health System recently received the Catholic Health Association’s prestigious 2010 Achievement Citation for excellence, effectiveness as well as innovation in hospice as well as palliative care. On June 14, Mimi Pattison, MD, health examination director for Franciscan Hospice as well as Palliative Care accepted the award during the Catholic Health Association of the United States annual assembly in Denver.
In addition to the award, CHA as well as awarded Franciscan Health System with a $10,000 grant to support comprehensive hospice as well as palliative care services. Franciscan Health System serves Pierce, Kitsap as well as King Counties. This is the subordinate prestigious award this year for Franciscan Hospice as well as Palliative Care. In May, Dr. Pattison received the inaugural Sojourns Award as well as a $50,000 grant from The Regence Foundation in recognition of her work in palliative medicine.
