Mesothelioma and Asbestos

The former federal courthouse as well as post office will soon be the recent home of the Las Vegas Organized Crime as well as Law Enforcement Museum, otherwise known as the Mob Museum, in downtown Las Vegas. Just over $7 million in funding has been approved for the museum project, which will feature at least 30 interactive exhibits in the three-story, 41,000-square-foot building.

The earliest step in renovating the historic courthouse was asbestos as well as lead paint removal. Additional funding was earmarked to fund the asbestos abatement as well as the renovation of the building’s interior shell according to standards set by the Secretary of Interior for a National Historic Register building.
