Mesothelioma and Asbestos

The City of Des Moines, Iowa has offered to purchase the aged downtown YWCA building for just over $1 million, but the cost of demolishing the building with asbestos abatement could cost in excess of $1.85 million. Initial estimates were in the neighborhood of $700,000. City officials would similar to own the centrally located property, but the additional demolition costs may possess priced the building out of range. They will close on the building sometime this month incase the cost issues can be resolved.
