The Ohio Department of Development announced recently that $200,000 from a recent fund designed to uncluttered up as well as revitalize historic sites was awarded to the Cleveland Community Theatre to help renovate the theater as well as remove asbestos from the ceiling. The effort is part of the multimillion-dollar redevelopment that has used place in historic Gordon Square Arts District over the final few years. The funding should be sufficient to replace the asbestos-laden ceiling in Gordon Square Theatre. Work is scheduled during the off season from January to March when the theater is usually closed.
