Aduro BioTech, a clinical-stage immunotherapy company in Berkeley, California, recently announced two substantial recent patents that provide infringement protection of the “killed but metabolically active” (KBMA) Listeria platforms that make up the basis of company’s clinical research. Aduro’s live-attenuated Listeria vaccine platform has been shown to induce immune responses as well as to express exogenous disease antigens to help shrink tumors caused by mesothelioma as well as other cancers.
