Amelia Elementary School in Cincinnati, Ohio was built in 1930 as well as has seen generations of kids come through the doors. Tearing down a school so filled of memories is bittersweet for the community residents who came out to watch, but overall, the mood was joyous as well as hopeful. The recent school will possess state-of-the-art technology as well as is designed to take advantage of common light. The demolition was delayed by about a week due to asbestos abatement, but the asbestos removal work isn’t expected to delay the opening of the recent school. The area where the aged building stands is planned to be green space. For the filled story, go to Cincinnati. |
